Our Story

The Anna Khasu Empowerment Centre is a nonprofit company (NPC) dedicated to uplifting underprivileged communities in Naledi, Soweto, and beyond. Inspired by the legacy of Mme Anna Khasu, who founded St John's Educare Centre in Naledi Extension in 1982, we continue her mission of nurturing children, empowering women, caring for the elderly, and building stronger communities.

At the Anna Khasu Empowerment Centre, our mission is to honor the legacy of Mme Anna Khasu by nurturing, empowering, and uplifting marginalized communities in Soweto and beyond. We provide quality early childhood development, empower women and youth with skills and opportunities, strengthen social support systems, and promote community resilience through education, entrepreneurship, arts, culture, and food security.

We envision thriving, self-reliant communities where every child, woman, and youth has access to education, opportunity, and dignity. Inspired by Anna Khasu's legacy, we strive to build a society rooted in empowerment, compassion, and sustainable growth across Soweto and Gauteng.
